Síndrome de Burnout y personal de enfermería de cuidados intensivos The Burnout syndrome and the intensive care nursery staff
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo de corte transversal con el objetivo de analizar el comportamiento del Síndrome de Burnout en el personal de enfermería del servicio de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Faustino Pérez de Matanzas durante el mes de marzo del 2007, a través de la aplicación de una encuesta con parámetros sociodemográficos y el cuestionario de Maslach. Entre los resultados más importantes podemos destacar que la dimensión más afectada fue la de agotamiento emocional y la mayoría de los pacientes se encontraban en riesgo se sufrir Síndrome de Burnout. Con respecto a las percepciones personales pudimos apreciar que no se encontraron datos que hablen a favor de su relación con la enfermedad en cuestión.We carried out a transversal, observational, descriptive study with the objective of analyzing the Burnout syndrome behaviour in the intensive care nursery staff of the Hospital Faustino Perez, Matanzas in march 2007, through the application of a poll with socio-demographic parameters and Maslach survey. Among the most important results we can state that the most affected dimension was the emotional exhaustion and that most of the patients were at risk of suffering the Burnout syndrome. With respecting to the personal perceptions we could appreciate that there were not data favouring its relation with the studied disease.
