Confucianism about family and nowaday vietnamese family

Abstract

Beginning to be not favor in all classes of Vietnamese people, Confucianism is gradually played an important role in empowering the authority of the king, building a bureaucratic system of administration from central offices to local government and ensure a close relation between the government and people. Imported from China to Vietnam, Confucianism in Vietnam has not to be original. It has a lot of Vietnamese properties. For benefit of building and defending the country, Vietnamese Confucian scholar made full use of advantage view of Confucianism to affirm positive tradition of Vietnamese people. Confucianism especially concentrate on family, consider the existence of family as part of superstructure. Prosperous, peaceful country start from family. The first, a man in Confucianism must to strive for self-improvement, the second to make oneself manage the family, the third is for country, and the fourth makes his country peaceful. The report contains three parts: Confucianism about family; influence of the Confucianism on tradition Vietnamese family; Confucianism on nowaday family.
