A controlled active experiment using an intense-pulsed plasma stream produced by a plasma gun is proposed for a rocket experiment in Antarctica. A strong interaction of the plasma stream with charged and neutral particles in the polar ionosphere is expected. Artificial aurora and VLF wave excitation may be observed.
