É POSSÍVEL UMA TEOLOGIA DA TERNURA?
Abstract
Tem sentido um discurso sobre a “ternura” no âmbito teológico? Em que sentido e por que poderia ser considerada a “ternura” um novo paradigma teológico para nosso tempo? É coerente num mundo ferido pela violência, a injusta distribuição dos bens, o abuso do poder e a incapacidade de relacionar-nos como uma fraternidade humana, a pretensão de pôr no centro de nosso discurso sobre Deus, sobre o ser humano e sobre o encontro entre ambos, algo como a ternura? É factível? E se fosse, que condições deveria cumprir para isto? É impossível nos estreitos limites de um artigo o intento de dar resposta a todas estas interrogações. Por isso, o que o leitor encontrará nestas páginas serão tão somente umas pinceladas que tratam, em primeiro lugar, de estabelecer o marco que legitima nosso intento e as condições de possibilidade que o fariam viável. E em segundo lugar, pretendemos mostrar a riqueza deste conceito desde a perspectiva antropológica assim como sua valência teologal, centrando-nos na capacidade particular da experiência de ternura de mediar o acesso do ser humano a Deus assim como o de Deus ao ser humano. ABSTRACT: Does a discourse on tenderness make sense in the field of theology? In what sense and why might “tenderness” be considered a new theological paradigm for our time? Is the pretension to put something like tenderness in the center of our discourse about God, humanity and the encounter between them consistent in a world wounded by violence, the unfair distribution of property, the abuse of power and the inability to relate as a human fraternity? Is it feasible? And if it were, what conditions should it fulfil? It is impossible to attempt to answer all of these questions within the narrow confines of an article. So the reader will find in these pages just a few brushstrokes that in the first place try to establish the framework that validates our attempt and the conditions of possibility that would make it viable. In the second place we hope to demonstrate the richness of this concept both from an anthropological perspective and in its theological value, focusing on the special ability of the experience of tenderness to mediate both human access to God and God’s access to humanity.
