Species related to the Diaspididae (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha) family found in park and ornamental plants in Dalaman, Köyceğiz and Marmaris districts of Muğla province

In the study carried out in Dalaman, Köyceğiz and Marmaris districts of Muğla province in 2018-2019; harmful the armored scale insects have been identified in park and ornamental plants. As a result of the study, 9 species belonging to the Diaspididae family were determined. These species are; Aonidiella aurantii (Maskell, 1879), A. citrina (Coquillett, 1891), Aspidiotus nerii (Bouche, 1833), Carulaspis minima (Signoret, 1869), Lepidosaphes malicola (Borchsenius, 1947), L. ulmi (Linnaeus, 1758), Melanaspis inapinota (Leonardi, 1913), Parlatoria oleae (Colvée, 1880), Pseudaulacaspis pentagona (Targioni Tozzetti, 1886). P. pentagona, L. malicola and C. minima species are the first record for Muğla province. For the first time in the world were found L. ulmi on Liquidambar orientalis Mill. and A. citrina on Acacia saligna (Labill.) H.L. Wendl.
