Islamic Studies and the Study of Sufism in Academia: Rethinking Methodologies

Abstract

In this article, we present the translation of our book chapter titled "Searching for New Horizons in Sufi Studies' Methodology in Turkey" in the book published in Kyoto in 2018 with the title Islamic Studies and the Study of Sufism in Academia: Rethinking Methodologies as the third book of the Sufi Studies series published by Kyoto University Kenan Rifai Center for Sufi Studies. However, in this article, in addition to the translation, we have also made the additions we deemed necessary.
