Isolated Craniocervical Segmental Dystonia in a 4-year-old Child
Abstract
Craniocervical dystonia can affect a child’s developmental milestones (gross, fine and social), activities in daily living and nutritional status. Botulinum neurotoxin is an effective treatment for focal and segmental dystonia. Untreated craniocervical dystonia can lead to cervical myelopathy. The treatment goals include reducing involuntary movements, improving neck posture and thereby quality of life.
