Over the last few years in the field of History Teaching in Brazil, textbooks have become important instruments of analysis because they are considered complex cultural objects and privileged supports that condense the historical narrative. In this sense, this article aims to analyze the didactic narratives about the New Brazilian Republic present in five collections approved by the National Textbook Program of the year 2018. For the analytical construction of such narratives, we will mobilize the theoretical framework of Reinhart Koselleck. This author's work forms a dense theoretical framework that will help us understand the way in which historical times are treated and operationalized, understood in their particularity, in school-historical narratives.
