Facing new challenges: the EU stakes on eurocentrism

Abstract

Having to overcome the consequences of financial and economic crisis, migration crisis and the decision of the UK to leave, the European Union is facing new challenges. A number of foreign policy actions of the closest EU ally – the United States, jeopardize not only the long-term transatlantic cooperation, but also it can shake the EU credibility as successful integration project. Taking all this into consideration, the European Union puts a stake on eurocentrism
