Single-molecule imaging and microfluidic platform reveal molecular mechanisms of leukemic cell rolling
Abstract
Al Alwan et al. describe the tethering and rolling behaviour of leukemic cells by using a microfluidic platform that mimics the endothelial surface under flow conditions. With single-molecule live cell fluorescence imaging, they show that unique spatiotemporal dynamics of selectin ligands on the membrane tethers and slings play an essential role in the rolling of the cell.
