ABOUT SOME PROBLEMS OF ADEQUACY IN TRANSLATION AS ONE OF CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION FORMS

Abstract

The article discusses some problems of translation as one of cross-cultural communication forms. In the article there are mainly stressed necessity of vast sociocultural context knowledge by a trans-lator: both foreign and own. Simultaneously in some cases there are brought about necessity of encyclopedic commentary on comperative basis with reconing recepient's of literary text native culture. The author denies as well significance of attempt of obligatory equivalents finding in translator’s language. In the article there are given some examples of literary text by famous writers fragments translation in English with following encyclopedic analysis. Translation activities are analyzed in close connection with language as mean of cross-cultural communication teaching and called upon to solve the problems how in a proper way to eliminate obstacles in the situation of different languages and cultures interaction.
