The position of international political actors towards the Prague spring
Abstract
The intervention of the USSR, Poland, Bulgaria, the German Democratic Republic and Hungary in Czechoslovakia on the night of 20 to 21 August 1968 produced a huge shock in the international community, but also a deepening of cleavage of relationships between the countries from the socialist camp. This study is an analysis of „hot“ reactions of key actors on the world political stage. The main source of information was the Agerpres Archive: unpublished documents (news, letters, analysis, translations of editorials in Western media) and the external news flow.
