L’attentat de la Grande Mosquée de Québec : discours des politiciens rapportés dans la presse

Abstract

In this paper we will present the results of an empirical research regarding the various procedures used by journalists in order to report the declarations and commentaries of politicians on the subject of the Quebec City Mosque attack, a tragic event that took place on January 29th 2017. We will try to establish which of those procedures were used by journalists in order to privilege the direct discourse (DD) or the indirect discourse (ID) and to what extent these procedures can reveal the subjectivity of the journalists.
