The issue of this paper it's not a minor question. Thousands of young people who graduate from higher education institutions do not find a job, which leads to disappointment and dismay as they face a restrictive production structure unable to accommodate them. The paper shows, from a different angle the complex relationships that impact both the macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions of Japan and Mexico, by examining the congruence between the policies of higher education and employment for the benefit of the population. The conclusion suggests the necessity of both countries to make more efforts for the improvement of domestic conditions in each of them, so that those efforts can have an impact on raising awareness over this matter that affects the young population directly.
