Keywords: Resilience, Happiness, Self-awareness, Emotional Management, Female Household Heads The Effect of Training in Self-Awareness and Emotional Management Skills on Increasing the Resilience and Happiness of Female Household Heads Asghar Jafari[1] , Seyed Majid Hosseini[2] , Mitra Fazeli[3] Received: 12/7/2017 Accepted: 23/4/2018 Abstract The present research study aimed to determine the effect of training in self-awareness and emotional management skills on increasing the resilience and happiness of female household heads. The population included all female household heads referring to the health houses in region 18 of Tehran. Thirty subjects were selected through available sampling and assigned randomly to experimental and control groups (n1=n2=15). The methodology was semi-experimental. The resilience and happiness of all subjects were measured by questionnaires of resilience and happiness in a pretest. The skills of self-awareness and emotional management were taught to the participants in the experimental group in 14 sessions. The resilience and happiness of all subjects were measured in a posttest and follow-up. Data were analyzed by ANCOVA and T test. The results indicated that training in skills of self-awareness and emotional management can significantly increase the resilience and happiness of female household heads (P < 0.01). In addition, results showed that the effect of intervention in the follow up was maintained. The results provide some evidence suggesting that training in [1].
