This work was developed with the purpose of highlighting the multifunctionality involved in teaching rural educators during the Emergency Remote Teaching period and the return to face-to-face activities during the Covid 19 pandemic to guarantee students access to the right to education. The general objective is to identify the difficulties and strategies used by teachers during this period in a Basic Education School in Campo de Santa Catarina. The methodological path consisted of field research and interviews with teachers and school managers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the public authorities' disregard for Rural Schools and their specificities became evident. The engagement and commitment of teachers became essential for rural students to access their right to education.
