Introduction: The cervical cancer is recognized as an important public health problem and tracking is the most effective form of prevention, since the disease manifests insidiously. In Brazil from 1988 was recommended that women aged 25 to 59 years to make the collection of the cytology of the uterine cervix annually or every three years if the last two results do not show changes. Objective: This study examined the coverage of recommended screening in the catchment area of the Basic Health Unit Family Vila Fabril in Anapolis -GO in the period 2010-2012. 349 Of the women enrolled, 32 (9.2%) did the examination on the unit. Methods: The collection of data was through the records and surveys record book, the Family Health Unit. Results: Those women who did 27( 84.4 % ) do only once, four women ( 12.5 % ) twice and one woman ( 3.3% ) three times. Conclusions: These data demonstrate noncompliance women use this service in the Health Unit 's attention focused on women aged 25 to 59 years of age, regarding the Prevention of Cervical cancer should be done to actually be meet the goals established by the Pact for Life, prioritized set of practices in health care in the SUS.
