Potential Transmission Routes and Treatment Measures of Wastewater during Respiratory Infectious Virus Pandemic
Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 virus has spread all around the world, seriously affecting public health and economy. With the second pandemic occurring in most areas, people attend to the potential transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus through wastewater. In order to help the general public fill the knowledge gap, this paper summarizes the current methods of treating wastewater polluted, so as to reduce the transmission opportunity of COVID-2019. In order to highlight the serious problem of virus transmission through wastewater and raise social awareness, taking the sewage treatment facilities of designated hospitals as an example, this paper first reveals the valuable information about the effluent quality of facilities during the COVID-2019 pandemic and the fight against the epidemic on Tientsin, which is very important for controlling the pandemic.
