THE 1964 BEAT OF STATE IN BAHIA.
Abstract
The author of this article privileged in his analyzes the resourcefulness of the political parties in Bahia, showing the local alliances of these parties, irreconcilable in the national scenario. These local alliances enabled a correlation of forces so contrary to the Government of João Goulart in Bahia that the reaction to the 1964 Coup was expressed only by secondary and university students and by the Brazilian Communist Party.
