The aim of the study is to determine the correspondences and differences in the field of vision of digital competencies in the system of lifelong learning in the EU and in Ukraine based on the analysis of strategic legal documents. Technological progress, having reached the digital stage of its development, has set society the task of digital transformation of the whole way of social and economic life. In particular, this applies to the need for each person to master digital skills and abilities, ie what can be determined by digital human competencies. It is concluded that there are significant differences in the vision of digital competencies in the EU and Ukraine. Due to the need to revise strategic documents on digital development in both the EU and Ukraine, it is necessary to synchronize digital standards in the economic and technological spheres and approaches to people's digital competencies.
