The article presents life journey and professional activity of Petro Sochinskiy — a zemstvo doctor, public activist, collector, folklorist, patron, full member of Yekaterinoslav Scientific Archival Committee, who made a significant contribution into the development of zemstvo medicine and conservation of monuments of history and culture in Pridneprovia region.
