REFLECTIONS OF TURKISH-GERMAN YOUTH SUB-CULTURES IN FATİH AKIN’S FILM “KURZ UND SCHMERZLOS”

Abstract

It is aimed in this study to determine the conception “youth”, subcultures of youth and problem focuses in german-turkish literature. A Film from filmography of Fatih Akın, is chosen to explain youth conception in migrant literature and to illustrate the way how sub cultural elements and problem focuses occur. The filmwill be examined according to specific criteria. In the study, the questions what youth in german-turkish literature means and how sub cultural elements and problem focuses come off, will be answered. The limit of research contains the first feature-length film, produced in 1998, of Fatih Akın, who is a famous director and producer and has great successes in german-turkish cinema. The importance of this study comes from its putting a german-turkish movie instead of written works infocal point.
