The Impact of Ethical Social Responsibility and Spiritual Community on Occurrence of Deviant Behaviors in the Workplace: mediating role of Affective Commitment (Case of: Ferdowsi University of Mashhad)
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of ethical social responsibility and spiritual Community on occurrence of deviant behaviors in the workplace considering the role of affective commitment. The sample is consisted of 600 Employee of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad selected by random stratified sampling method. Ethical social responsibility, spiritual Community, deviant behaviors and affective commitment questionnaires, which all had high validity and reliability, have been used in this research, which is a descriptive correlation-type project. In order to analyze the data, structural equation modeling was used to examine the fit of the structural equation model. The results showed that Spiritual Community has a direct and positive effect on affective organizational, negative and significant effect on deviant behaviors. The results also showed that ethical social responsibility plays a great role in explaining affective commitment and reducing occurrence of deviant behaviors. These findings emphasize on the role of ethical social responsibility, spiritual Community, the mediator’s role, and affective commitment importance in predicting deviant behaviors
