Klaten Regency is a region with high susceptibility to earthquakes because of the geological rock and soil type have not been consolidated, thus increasing the risk due to earthquakes. Disaster education is needed to minimize the risks caused by earthquakes. Senior High School 2 Klaten has implemented disaster curriculum since 2010, so an analysis related to knowledge and earthquake preparedness is needed. The study aims to identify the level of disaster knowledge, preparedness, and analyze the correlation between both of them at Senior High School 2 Klaten. This research uses mix method. Data sourced from questionnaires and indepth interviews. The sample of this research were 29 students of SHS 2 Klaten. While the key informants were the teacher in charge of Swaliba program and also geography teachers. The questionnaire data were analyzed using the Likert scale method to identify the level of disaster knowledge and preparedness for earthquakes. Analysis of the correlation between knowledge and preparedness using the Spearman Rank correlation method. The results showed the level of disaster knowledge, preparedness, and the correlation between both of them at Senior High School 2 Klaten.
