O novo desenvolvimentismo: limites e possibilidades frente ao debate atual

Abstract

The new developmental theory is still under construction. However, there are already critiques elaborated by other hegemonic currents of economic thought in Brazil, both orthodox and heterodox. This paper sought to gather the most evident set of assessment, alongside their consonant points. Nevertheless, since the crisis of classical developmentalism, no line of economic thinking has focused on producing a strategy focus on the industrialization, although some currents stand as heirs of classical developmentalism. The systematization of the criticisms and analyzes of the proposals of the mentioned lines can contribute to the understanding of the current projects that intend to fill this gap within the heterodox field.
