Leadership, innovation, mastery of New Information and Communication Technologies and creativity are fundamental elements for school managers in public schools to face the challenges of the 21st Century and Generation 5.0 in a proactive and efficient way. Furthermore, leadership plays a crucial role in creating an environment conducive to students' academic development, motivating teachers and implementing viable educational policies that guarantee quality teaching. The present study aims to analyze the importance of leadership, innovation and creativity in the school management of these public schools, identifying the main challenges faced and the strategies to overcome them. The research was descriptive and exploratory, of a mixed, qualitative and quantitative nature, with the participation of 183 directors from the Municipalities of Bailundo and Mungo where a questionnaire with multiple choice, open and closed questions was applied during the training. The data were tabulated, analyzed and processed using IBM SPSS version 25 and Microsoft Word. Resistance to change, the lack of adequate infrastructure, technological means, adequate training for school managers, financial and material resources, and bureaucracy have hindered the implementation of innovative pedagogical practices and the promotion of a culture of creativity in public schools that aims to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in students.
