НЕВІДОМИЙ УКРАЇНІ БУКОВИНЕЦЬ – ВІДОМИЙ У СВІТІ ВИДАТНИЙ ВЧЕНИЙ–ДЕМОГРАФ / UNKNOWN BUKOVYNER IN UKRAINE IS THE WORLD'S WELL-KNOWN DEMOGRAPHERS SCIENTIST
Abstract
Путь, пройденный буковинцем, из Хотинского района, поднял его высоко, как состоявшегося уче- ного (во второй половине своей жизни – преимущественно как демограф), оставившего после себя обширное методиче- ское и практическое наследие по демографии в разных странах мира. Цель работы: Дать всестороннюю оценку малоиз- вестного в Украине ученого из Буковины – Анатолия Ивановича Романюка. Материал и методы. Использованы для описания жизни и достижений А.И. Романюка его собственные работы, а также материалы выдающего украинского де- мографа – профессора В.И. Стешенко. Результаты – исторические данные о жизни и научных достижениях выдающего- ся буковинца – ученого, демографа Анатолия Ивановича Романюка. Выводы. Исследование мировой истории науки открыло украинцам имя малоизвестного в стране, но широко известно в мире ученого – демографа, исследователя соци- альных и методических аспектов демографии. Буковинцы могут гордиться своим выдающимся земляком – ученым и должны подумать об увековечивании имени этого ученого Буковины. The purpose of the study is to describe the way of life of the Bukovyner, well-known scientist from the Khotyn region, his unique destiny raised him highly as an accomplished scholar (in the second half of his life, mainly as a demographer), who left behind an extensive methodological and practical legacy on de- mography in different countries of the world. Objective is to give a comprehensive assessment of the forgotten in the native country, in Ukraine, the scientist from Bukovina Anatoliy Ivanovych Ro- maniuk. Material and methods. Used to describe the life and achievements of A. I. Romanyuk, his own works, as well as materi- als of the outstanding Ukrainian demographer, Professor V. I. Steshenko. The results are represented as historical datas about the life and scientific achievements of the outstanding Bukovynian scientist, demographer Anatoly Ivanovich Romanyuk. Conclusions. The study of the world history of science has re- vealed to the Ukrainians with the name of the little-known in our country, but at the same time, they are widely known in the world of a scientist ‐ demographer, researcher of social and methodologi- cal aspects of demography. Bukovina people can be proud of their outstanding countryman - a scientist and should think about per- petuating the name of this scientist Bukovina.
