A Case of Meningitis Caused by Listeria monocytogenes
Abstract
Listeriosis is a rare infectious disease caused by Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes) in the public. L. monocytogenes is a bacterium that generally infects high-risk patients, particularly the elderly, immunocompromised patients, and pregnant women. Here, we present a case of L. monocytogenes meningitis in a 79-year-old male with diabetes mellitus and pemphigus vulgaris.
