Quadros Narrativos Pautados pela Mídia: framing como segundo nível do agenda-setting?
Abstract
In the field of media effects research, the concept of framing has been used to show how the media’s framing of issues on its agenda influences the frames of reference used by the audience to interpret the same issues. This theoretical model is based on agenda-setting hypotheses analyzed from the perspective of media effects. The article discusses framing by presenting some of its peculiarities. It then compares it to what some theorists have called second-level agenda-setting or agenda setting by attributes, in order to draw more precisely the differences between these two domains.
