The quality of life at work has gained important prominence in academic discussions, because the theme is linked to the productivity of workers in an organization. In this sense, this article is justified by the importance of discussing how the quality of life at work can result in well-being for teachers of five schools in the city of Rondonópolis -MT. The objective of this article is to identify the perception of quality of life at work (QWL) of high school teachers, in two public institutions and three private institutions. The research instrument is based on Walton's model (1973), from which questions were structured asthe basis for the applied methodology. As specific objectives, it sought to compare differences between public and private institutions, identify differences between genders, analyze differences between ages and evaluate differences in length of time of service. The results indicated the particularities of satisfaction of each comparative group, involving type of institution, gender, age and length of service, confirming some hypotheses about statistically significant differences in quality of life at workinvolving these parameters.
