A Study on Calculation Method and Influence Factor of Critical Speed of Helicopter Tail Drive Shaft
Abstract
For the helicopter transmission shaft system,it is usually necessary to carry out a variety of scheme comparison and influence parameter analysis during the design stage to obtain a relatively better design scheme. However,due to large calculation workload and low efficiency of the finite element method,it is necessary to develop a fast and accurate analysis method for the critical speed of the helicopter transmission shaft. Taking the helicopter oblique tail drive shaft as the research object,and considering bending moment,lateral displacement,shear distortion,moment of inertia,gyroscopic moment and axial force,etc. a calculation model for the critical speed of the tail drive shaft is established and a calculation formula for the critical speed is derived. By comparing calculation results of several analysis models,the influence law among various influence factors upon the critical speed of the tail drive shaft is obtained and a suggestion for the selection of critical speed analysis method of helicopter tail drive shaft is also given.
