Municipal Service as Professional Occupation

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of municipal service viewed as the institution of local government and one of the pivotal forms of professional occupation in the contemporary society. The principles of professionalism and competence of municipal officials are scrutinized on the basis of the analysis of a number of legislative documents.
