Fronteiras Religiosas em movimento no Cone-Sul
Abstract
A characteristic of modernity is the transnationalization of goods and of culture, including religion. This text shows how this occurs in the Cone-Sul involving Afro-Brazilian Religions and Brazilian Neo-Pentecostal churches which spread out from Rio Grande do Sul accross national borders to neighboring countries in the La Plata region. After a consideration of the empirical data available about the expansion of these two religious groups to Argentina and Uruguay, we will review explanations furnished by researchers on this theme.
