VASILE ZAGORSCHI’S CHOIR MINIATURE SEARA DE VARA: INTERPRETATIVE VISIONS
Abstract
„Seara de vara” is one of the most representative and at the same time accessible choral miniatures signed by the composer V. Zagorschi. The poetic text of this piece contains many picturesque images of a summer evening in a village. The work is remarkable for a fairly diverse vocal writing where the homophone exposure combined with a harmonic accompanied monody and several elements of imitative polyphony prevail. The music of this miniature is full of color and mood that the composer shows through different inflections and alterations placed naturally within the structure without stopping the proper process of interpretation. The execution or hearing this choral piece creates a good mood through a well-structured development of the poetic ideas. The interpretation of the piece „Seara de vara” contains a series of technological peculiarities and means of expressiveness that can be highlighted and applied both in the rehearsal process and during the stage performance and that are discussed in this article.
