Abstract | Full Text

The article describes major methodological problems associated with the study of online privacy management. It deals with the problem of theoretical contexts of the subject, as well as the possible research approaches in different fields of science, e.g.: computer and engi­neering sciences, legal sciences and social sciences. The paper describes possible ways of empiri­cal data collecting (quantitative and qualitative methods), as well as the types of research in this area divided by purpose: exploration, description, explanation. It describes also new ways of research which are possible to study privacy management on the net, e.g. netnography.
