Testing the measurement scale of higher education quality from students' perspective: A study in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Abstract
The main objective of this study is to test the measurement scale of higher education quality based on the student's perspective. The study was conducted at both public and private universities located in Ho Chi Minh City. The study’s results showed that the quality of higher education from student perspective was explained by seven components: (1) training programs; (2)teaching skills of faculty; (3) the interaction between faculty and students; (4) physical facilities; (5) the interaction between university and businesses; (6) extracurricular activities; and (7) student support service quality. The scales of these components were tested by the confirmatory factor analysis technique and resulted in that these scales meet the requirements of reliability and validity of measurement scales. Finally, the authors present the results of the research discussed as well as limitations and further research directions.
