Non c’è tempo. La psicopatologia del dispositivo del vissuto temporale
Abstract
What is the intimate experience of inner time and what is the experience (representation) of the future in dark suffering in particular? This is the theme of our work and the methodological premises that arise from operational reflections in the clinical field. The aims of our research are not only theoretical (how and to what extent time changes in psychic suffering) but also clinical. This brings us to what concerns the patient's planning of the future, the change of destiny, the overcoming of psychic suffering: the way of experiencing the future in the present (or the past in the present) changes according to the different temporal distortions, the different structure of the illness. Reflections will now be articulated according to whether time is considered in its anthropological or in its strictly psychopathological sense. The fundamental meaning seems to reflect the criteria of objective psychology, which cannot in itself capture the experience of inner time: psychology knows only the "before and then" relationship (duration of time), or temporal qualities: the present, the past and the future. The concept of time often comes from objective psychology, "reduced" to the level of a "way of knowing"; and, in this light, to the objective phenomena of the past: not to the future, which (obviously) does not have a different dimension of time in itself. The author's aim is to show how the theme of psychic suffering, of the link with the horizons of time (chronodesis), can be addressed through the analysis of the temporal device that emerges from suffering (pathos), from the patient's language.
