Pedagogical competences for the development of didactic strategies in students with special educational needs in Ecuadorian Higher Education

Received: October 13, 2018 Approved: November 12, 2018 The general purpose of this research is to analyze the Pedagogical competences for the development of Didactic Strategies in students with Special Educational Needs in Ecuadorian Higher Education. In the same way, it is supported by the theoretical postulates of Martín and Mauri (2011), among other authors; From the qualitative point of view, the research is developed with the phenomenological method. The information was gathered through the techniques of Interviews, and Observation. For the purposes of the sample, (4) subjects were taken from the Catholic University of Cuenca. It is also important to emphasize that the problems facing education regarding the use of appropriate strategies for the care of students with Special Educational Needs at the Superior level are and will be an unresolved question. In the last 10 years it has been transformed in all its levels, but in regards to train the teacher for the correct treatment with clear strategies to students with special educational needs (SEN), has had deficiencies in all educational levels.
