Kontrowersyjne obszary rynku turystycznego

Abstract

The tourist market is extensive and internally complicated, and the processes on it are constantly developing. Contemporary development trends in tourism, occurring both on the demand side (motives of trips) and supply (tourist offers), affect the structure of the tourism market, leading to unusual tourist behavior, thus contributing to the emergence of so-called controversial tourism. The aim of this study is to identify controversial areas of the tourist market, based on elements of its subject structure. The paper presents the issues of the tourism market structure, an attempt to interpret and the scope of controversial areas of this market. Then, the analysis of the controversial tourism site was carried out in the aspect of particular elements of the tourism market, i.e. in relation to tourist demand, tourism supply and socio-economic policy in the field of tourism. It was also pointed out that the motives for practicing controversial tourism overlap with other forms and types of tourism.
