The evolution of science is influenced by the limits of subjectivity and objectivity in the production of scientific knowledge. In this scenario, this study approaches the currents of thought, from the point of view of Triviños, and it analyzes the possibility of constructing scientific truth, relating this concept to what is understood by consciousness and objective reality (subjectivity and objectivity). From the application of a structured questionnaire to the students of a Post-Graduate Program in Constitutional Law, it is sought to identify the predominant epistemological bias, in order to enable the understanding of what is meant by scientific truth among researchers. It is evident that this concept refers to a way of situating reality in a given historical moment, respecting: the stage of scientific discoveries, culture and geographical delimitation of the place. The results also indicate the rejection of the inductive scientific method, a characteristic of positivism. It is a bibliographical and field research, of theoretical and empirical nature, with quantitative and qualitative approaches.
