The purpose of the present study is to study the semantics of the word revolution and its application in the religious text and to present its contexts and factors from the viewpoints of the Qur'an and the infallible narratives (AS) based on various aspects of Moses'(PBUH)revolutionary movement. The research method was descriptive-analytical and in this regard ، the revolution was explained in the view of western and Islamic scholars and its application in Quran and narrations. The factors that shaped the revolution include dissatisfaction with the status quo, tyranny, economic and political inequality, the failure of the sovereign to think of sovereignty, lack of freedom and the right to criticize, the oligarchy, the discrediting of religious values, and the closure of divine judgments. This was the research. The findings indicated that although “revolution” as used in the Quran verses and hadith does not refer to the sense commonly understood by the term, the essence of revolutionary movements and their causes have been well introduced and explained whether directly or indirectly in these sources.
