The article describes the peculiarities of the study process organization in order to form English language in academic writing for future officers majoring in information technologies. The amount of time allocated for development of the English proficiency in academic writing is determined by the curriculum of the discipline “Foreign Language for Professional Purposes”. The article states criteria essential to design a model of the English language competence in academic writing formation. The content of modules and the list of the course topics are also presented. Additionally, the total number of hours allocated for both classroom, individual work as well as the number of hours specifically for the formation of the English competence in academic writing were stated. The article delivers a list of Google services that are successfully integrated with Google Classroom and add to its capabilities. Features of Google services such as Google Docs, Google Drive and Google Forms were identified. The article provides examples of these Google services interfaces. Specifically, an example of the taskbar displayed in the cadet’s personal office, an example of a test task integrated into Google Form, the ability to comment within Google Docs. Google Form allows you to diversify your tasks and apply a personalized approach by making individual tasks. The benefit of Google Classroom is that it has a mobile application that supports the same features available when using the site. Google Docs is used extensively for group text work. The ability to comment allows engaging cadets not only in the writing process, but also in commenting, editing processes. Thus, each cadet takes a different role while working with texts.
