Investigating Relationship between servant leadership and Spirituality in Work Place with social Capital (Case Study of Staff of Keshvarzi bank of Hamedan Province)
Abstract
Introduction: Today, in addition to manpower, financial and economic capital, social capital is regarded as another. This concept is linked to the network, as a valuable source refers to norms and mutual trust, caused achieving the goals of its members. There are social words in combination, emphasizing the fact that this is not personal property resources, these resources are in the network of relationships. The concept of social capital as a multidimensional concept in the social sciences and influence in many spheres of society and in the literature related to the development also has a special place in such a way that some of be the missing link. Arguing that people who have high social capital tend to live healthier and happier and participate in social activities in their communities. One of the factors that create social capital is servant leadership. Management theorists and the twenty-first century the century of leadership for the organization know and believe that the leadership is the main factor in the success of organizations and today society. About leadership, various approaches have been proposed, one of the approaches that have recently attracted the attention of experts of to manage have been servant leadership. Against one of the variable that could potentially have an effect on social capital in the workplace spirituality is, a number of studies show that the need for a new paradigm to work in the organization's with the approach of integrating personal life and work life to increase. Staff needs to be changed and the current type and size can be successful if the needs of biological, psychological, social and spiritual responsive staff. one of the concepts that can be effective in satisfying these needs, spirituality in the workplace, including the concepts of health, happiness, humility, truth, salvation, success and job satisfaction for staff and organization . This concept has many advantages for the organization's the workplace, benefits that organization using them to improve efficiency, increase performance and improve its financial indicators. According the role and importance of addressing the human resources as one of the main capitals of the organization must be declared that effectiveness of this investment in light of provision of suitable work environment and the field of communication and cooperation with other members of the organization and participation in the affairs related to organization. In result the purpose of this study is investigate relationship between servant leadership and spirituality in work place with social capital. Material & Methods: The current research method is descriptive and the research project used was based on Structural equations model. The statistical population is all employees of Keshvarzi bank of Hamedan Province 196 which they were selected by stratified random sampling method. Data were gathered through three questionnaires, the servant leader, spirituality and social capital. The data after collecting were analyzed by SPSS and LISREL. Discussion of Results: Results of structural equation modeling showed that: Direct effect the servant leader on social capital is not positive and significant. Direct effects of spirituality on social capital are positive and significant. Indirect effect of servant leader on social capital with intermediary of spirituality is not positive and significant. Conclusions: On this basis development of servant leadership in the field of spirituality in the workplace can be an important factor affecting the increase in social capital. On this basis, and considering the need to remove the barriers and the promotion of social capital, the management of organization suggested that with holding workshops and training courses to promote characteristics of servant leadership in their Increased. As well as a serious attempt to identify spirituality in the workplace and how to develop and expand it in the organization consider to grounds for the development of social capital among to be staff and organization.
