El “análisis de redes sociales” una herramienta para el estudio de la sociabilidad y una metodología para el análisis estructural

Abstract

This article was prepared with a double purpose: to deepen into the social network concept, seeking to overcome its simple metaphorical use and, allow a better approach to the initiated ones in the topic.The approach to the concepts of sociability, structural analysis, and social networking, aims to show the relevance of social networks analysis, as a tool for the study of sociability, that some social scientists understand as a methodological tool, othersas a particular mode of social organization and others as a metaphor for which networks 245C & P, No 5. Bucaramanga, Diciembre 2014, PP ISSN 2027-5528, PP 242-287analysis and structural method are synonymous. We hope to bring readers to the first designated group, to those who consider that social network analysis is a tool.We believe that the individual is theoretically and methodologically condition of access to the network, a too exclusive emphasis on the role of the individual may lead to a denial of social thing, evading the necessary complementarity with other advanced studies from other methodologies and postulates of social sciences, including the classes analysis and, not forgetting the paradigm of approach to the totality
