A descriptive and cross-sectional study of 12 patients with acute renal failure, discharged from "Dr. Juan of the Cruz Martínez Maceira" Teaching Northern Hospital in Santiago de Cuba was carried out from July, 2008 to the same month of 2010, aimed at characterizing some clinical aspects in the case material.
