In this study, the results of treatment following the extraction of maxillary second molars for correction of Class II malocclusion with labially positioned maxillary canines were evaluated cephalometrically and with respect to the position of erupted maxillary third molars. Fourteen measurements of pre and posttreatment lateral cephalograms of 14 individuals were analyzed statistically using Wilcoxon test. Only “upper lip-E line” cephalometric measurement showed a significant decrease (p<0.05). Reexamination of the patients 2.4 years after treatment revealed that in 10 patients, maxillary third molars were erupted. These erupted 20 third molar teeth were evaluated using orthodontic models. Of the erupted 20 third molar teeth, all had acceptable mesiodistal angulation, eighteen had a favourable mesial contact with the first molar and a normal occlusal relationship with lower second molar.
