PECULIARITIES OF FORMING INTERNET TELEVISION AND RADIO IN AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

Television and radio play an irreplaceable role in such important issues as ensuring the information and cultural needs of society, educating the broad masses of people, shaping spiritual and moral values, aesthetic views, humanistic feelings and a refined taste, educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism. Television and radio are at the same time a powerful management tool with great mobilizing and propaganda capabilities. At the present stage, information and communication systems are developing rapidly. The Internet is gradually narrowing the range of print products and the space of television and radio. But despite this, the audience of television and radio in Azerbaijan is quite large, and this area, skillfully using new technologies, can provide the need for information of the country's population. The article explores the history of the establishment and development of analog and digital radio and television broadcasting in Azerbaijan. The current Internet television and radio organizations in the republic’s space, their features, shortcomings, prospects and audience of viewers and listeners are listed.
