Objective Platform door EL (electromagnetic lock) is one of the key components of platform doors in urban rail transit station. EL malfunctioning shall directly affect line operation safety and the normal passage of passengers on the platform. In the development trend of equipment intelligent operation-maintenance, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on fault diagnosis and prediction methods of platform door EL. Method The working principle of platform door self-holding EL system is briefly described, and the impact degree of eight sub-type faults in three main-category faults on the normal operation of self-holding EL is analyzed. The current characteristics during electromagnetic action and faults are studied. The three fault conditions of core stuck, core not falling in place, and core suction displacement are further investigated. By comparing the electromagnetic current collected under various fault conditions with that collected under normal condition, the characteristics of the electromagnetic current under this fault condition are obtained. By comparing the standard deviation of the electromagnetic circuit curve under fault conditions with that under normal condition, the fault diagnosis and prediction of the self-holding EL system are realized. Result & Conclusion The larger the standard deviation between the electromagnetic circuit curve under fault conditions and the normal electromagnetic standard curve, the greater the possibility of electromagnetic failure occurring. When the standard deviation between the collected electromagnetic current and the normal electromagnetic current is greater than the early-warning value, a fault early-warning can be issued to the door lock set.
