A TEACHING METHOD FOR THE CHARACTERIZATION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY WITHOUT CONTACT
Abstract
This work aims to present a method to characterize the electrical conductivity of metal tubes without making contact with them. A LC circuit is implemented to detect the change in the inductance due to the conductor material within the coil. Moreover, a virtual instrument created in LabVIEW is implemented for calculating the average value of instantaneous power of the inductor by measuring the current and the voltage when different conductor tubes are placed in the core.
