Litological and Geochemical Features of Carbonate Rocks of the Riphean Deposits of the Kamsko-Belskiy Trough

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of lithological and geochemical features of carbonate rocks of the Kaltasinskaya, Shikhanskaya and Leuzinskaya formations of the Riphean deposits in the Kamsko-Belskiy Trough of the Volga-Ural oil and gas basin. A detailed lithological and stratigraphic description was carried out and statistical processing of the results of geochemical studies of 150 samples of carbonate rocks of the Riphean in 19 wells of the Kamsko-Belskiy Trough was carried out. According to the results of the research, the rocks of the Arlan subformation of the Kaltasin formation were attributed to the oil-bearing strata with a high potential of regeneration. The results of the study of the Shikhanskaya and Leuzinskaya formations of the upper Riphean allowed us to identify only rocks with poor generation potential.
